Various resources will be developed during the course of InnProBio to assist European public entities in their procurement actions when it comes to bio-based products and services.
- Identify the needs that the public sector has in common when it comes to public procurement.
- Publish a number of reports – such as a state-of-the-art of standards, specifications and incentives specifically on bio-based products and services, and a mapping of existing tools for these products in public procurement.
- Develop a legally solid set of tools for public procurement of innovation (PPI) (will be ready in February 2017). This will contain a bio-based product database, information on product labelling and public acceptance, information on PPI, a compilation of good practice examples, and texts for inclusion in tender documents, among others.
- Launch an interactive Decision Support Tool (available in 2017). The Tool will be developed to assist public procurers in their procurement processes. The Decision Support Tool will include a bio-based procurement roadmap, a bio-based wizard and bio-based comparator.
Take a look at the InnProBio factsheets. These cover some of the most relevant issues on bio-based products and services.
